Merging PDFs is the one office task that always seems to demand an account. This one doesn't: pick your files, order them, download a single combined document. It runs on the PDF engine built into the page, so your documents are read straight from your disk and never uploaded.
That is the point. Contracts, invoices, medical letters, ID scans and signed forms are exactly the sort of thing people paste into a free converter without thinking about where it lands. Here there is no server to land on, no retention policy to read, and no file that outlives your browser tab.
Pages are copied across intact — text stays selectable, links stay clickable, and the original resolution is preserved. There is no page limit, no daily cap, and no watermark.
How to use it
- 1Drop in two or more PDFs, or tap the box to pick them. Each one is read on the spot and its page count shown, so you can confirm you grabbed the right files.
- 2Put them in order. Files merge top to bottom — use the arrows to move any document up or down, and the × to drop one you added by mistake.
- 3Hit "Merge PDFs". Everything is stitched together in memory on your own machine; nothing is sent anywhere.
- 4Download the result. Change your mind about the order afterwards? Reorder and merge again — it takes a second.
Good to know
- Order is what you see. The numbered list is the final page order, top to bottom. Reordering clears the previous merge so you can never download a stale file by accident.
- Big files are fine. There is no size cap because there is no upload. The practical limit is your device's memory — a few hundred megabytes of PDFs is comfortable on a laptop.
- Protected PDFs. Documents with a restriction ("owner") password will usually merge. A PDF that demands a password just to open it cannot be read, and will be flagged in the list.
Frequently asked questions
Do my PDFs get uploaded to a server?
No. The merge runs entirely in your browser, so your documents never leave your device. You can check for yourself: open devtools, watch the Network tab, and merge a file — nothing is sent. It works offline too, which is the simplest proof there is no server involved.
Is there a limit on file size or number of PDFs?
No. Because nothing is uploaded there is no queue to wait in and no cap for me to enforce. The only real limit is your own device memory, and that is generous — a few hundred megabytes of documents merges fine on an ordinary laptop.
Can I change the order of the files?
Yes. Files merge from top to bottom in the list, and each one has arrows to move it up or down. Changing the order clears the previous result so you cannot accidentally download an old version.
Will it work with password-protected PDFs?
Usually. PDFs carrying only a restriction (owner) password — by far the most common kind — merge without trouble. A PDF that requires a password just to open cannot be read, and will be marked with an error in the list so you know which file to fix.
Does merging reduce quality or add a watermark?
Neither. Pages are copied across exactly as they are, so text stays selectable, links stay clickable and images keep their original resolution. There is no watermark, no sign-up and no paid tier.
